Bugle #75: So Prepared

It’s Friday! And the last Friday in July, at that. Been doing any summer reading? There’s a new book out about anti-gravity. It’s so hard to put down.

Do some productive zoning out for a moment and read some of the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles we found over the past couple weeks.

Bugle #72: New Year’s in July

Feeling cheeky this Friday? Did you know that joining the bone marrow registry is as simple as a swab of the cheek? A friend of Blissbook was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and many people fighting blood cancers and diseases rely on the registry for a life-saving transplant. Learn more about how to Be The Match.

Once you’ve learned more about joining the registry, take a moment to browse some of the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles we found over the past couple weeks.

Blissbook Now Has Automatic Reminders

Happy October! We just had the second-hottest September on record here in Atlanta, so we’re hoping the calendar change will bring some shade.

That said, we’re staying hot at Blissbook, as we just launched automatic reminders! Now you can set up a cadence of reminders to be sent to all the slackers out there who won’t sign their handbook. Get in touch with us if you want to be one of the first to try it out.

As always, the Bugle is here with the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles we found from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!

And a special shoutout to the “A Letter” article towards the end of the newsletter. Get some tissues ready!

Bugle #46: You’re Awesome (Yeah You!)

A Happy Friday Tuesday Colors Day to You! OK, that isn’t a real holiday, but we’re celebrating anyways with a new update that allows you to customize all the colors in your handbook (without having us do it for you):

We apologize for the delay in getting you the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles we could find from the last couple of weeks. We think it was worth it!

✦ ✦ ✦

Article of the Week: We chose this week’s highlighted article (look for the below) because you’re awesome. Yeah, you. Remember what you used to be like? As in, right out of college? Not quite as awesome, I bet. You’ve come a long way! Keep it up!

Employee Wants: Career, Community & Cause

Friday is here, woo hoo! Baseball season started yesterday, so we’re in a good mood here at Blissbook HQ. Our product update from the last 2 weeks is a small one. We made it easy to send someone (legal counsel, perhaps) an individual policy for review. You can now print any version of any individual policy back to the first time you published to a PDF, making it easy to share!

We also had a chance to put together the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles we could find from the last 2 weeks.

Have a good great Friday and weekend!

We made sure to set aside some time to put together the week’s best HR, leadership, and policy management articles for you. Lots of state lawmakers getting 2018 started with a bang – make sure you check those out so you can keep your company protected. Have a gratuitously fun weekend!

Managers are Scared to Talk to Employees

Happy February Friday! January 2018 is gone forever. That sure happened fast. Hopefully your first month was productive!

We made a few upgrades to Blissbook. The table of contents is improved, we fixed a number of bugs, the subscription flow is smoother, and your rehires are handled more elegantly. We also put together the week’s best HR, leadership, and policy management articles for you. We hope you enjoy giving these a look!

Bugle #38: No Phones on Break!

Happy Friday Friend! 2018 – this is the year all your dreams come true! You got this. We spent the last couple of weeks polishing off everything that fell out of our new editor updates, and we also patched up some issues with handling rehired employees.

Of course we also put together the best HR, leadership, and policy management articles from the past 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Article of the Week: This week’s highlighted article (look for the below) is inspired by a recent 3-day spell sans smartphone. By the third day, I wasn’t instinctively reaching for it in those situations where you often do (like when you’re stopped at a red light that you know takes forever to turn green). It was nice to just look around instead and I promised myself I wouldn’t look at my phone at stoplights anymore. So far, so good.

Stop Trying to Help Employees & Actually Help Them

October Friday! Aren’t those the best? We’re back on our new bi-weekly schedule with the best HR, leadership and policy management articles from the past 2 weeks. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
